Palermo: Is the broadest district of the city of Buenos Aires. It is for that reason that their neighbors informally subdivide it in areas:

Alto Palermo - Villa Freud The talent of the neighbors named it “Villa Freud” for the great amount of psychologists offices who have chosen to settle down in this area. Some stores are even named after this matter.

Plaza Italia – Pacífico This area shares Plaza Italia, the Jardín Botánico, the “Rural" Argentina,, and the Zoo. There, the Sarmiento Ave leads to the Palermo Parks.

Palermo Parks Located just minutes away from downtown, Palermo is the city’s lungs. We could call it the Central Park of Buenos Aires. It was generated by Domingo Faustino Sarmiento during his office between 1868 and 1874. The Rose Garden, the Andalúz Patio, the Japanesse Garden and the Poets Garden are worth visiting as well as the Planetarium Galileo Galilei where one will be able to learn about planetary peculiarities and participate in activities on the universe and subjects of scientific matters. During weekends, locals practice sports or simple stroll through its 25 hectares with two main lakes. In this area one will also find the Polo camp and the Hippodrome.

Palermo Viejo Its meeting point is Plaza Serrano (Serrano and Honduras streets) Many bars, restaurants, rock, jazz, pizza, beer and fun are found in this area. This square is called Julio Cortázar now and there are many stores of young designers as well.

Palermo Hollywood It is called Hollywood for the great amounts of TV and cinema producers that have settled down in this area. It concentrates a new generation of designers, bars, discos and restaurants framed around an up-to-the-minute, vanguard and minimalist atmosphere.

Palermo Chico It is one of the most aristocratic areas of the city that concentrates great amount of Embassies, numerous residences and museums.
